The book is the culmination of diligent archival research and more than ten years of collecting oral histories about the Old South Baton Rouge community; including McKinley High School, the Baton Rouge Bus Boycott, the once-thriving OSBR business corridor, and the numerous churches and civic groups of the neighborhood.
